Sivil SMS Terms

Effective: July 30, 2026

Sivil sends text messages (SMS) only for the purposes described below, and only to phone numbers provided to us with the consents described below. By providing a phone number in the Sivil app, you agree to receive these messages.

What we send

• Phone verification codes. A one-time passcode sent when you verify a phone number during registration, sign-in, or account changes. One message per request you initiate.
• Password recovery codes. A one-time passcode sent when you ask to reset your password by SMS. One message per request you initiate.
• Parental consent requests. If a child under 13 registers and names you as their parent or guardian, we send a single message asking you to reply YES to approve or NO to decline their account, as required by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This is a one-time message per request — it does not enroll you in any recurring program.

Message frequency & charges

Message frequency depends on your use of the service (typically one message per verification or consent request). Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out and help

Reply STOP to any Sivil message to stop receiving texts from us at that number. Note that opting out may prevent phone verification and parental-consent delivery, which some account features require. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the Feedback option in the Sivil app.

Privacy

Phone numbers are used for the purposes above and handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not send marketing texts, and we never sell phone numbers. See also our Terms of Service.
