Something not working, or a question we have not answered? Here is how to reach us and what tends to get you a useful answer fastest.

We are a small team. Email reaches us most reliably, and a short description of what you expected versus what happened is usually enough for us to reproduce a problem.

Reporting Something Unsafe

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Sivil is not an emergency service and cannot dispatch help.

For anything else — a message, a person, or content on a public team page — use the report option inside the app rather than email. An in-app report carries the conversation and the message with it, so we can see exactly what you saw. You can also block another user from any conversation, which takes effect immediately and does not notify them.

You can also write to info@sivil.us. If you do, tell us the usernames involved and roughly when it happened.

Parents and Guardians

Guardian oversight has three levels, named for what you see: Review First (you approve messages before they land), Alerts (you are told when something needs your attention), and Activity Only (you see who and how much, not what). You choose the level per child, and change it whenever you like.

Nothing is hidden from your child. They can see which level applies to them and when you are looking.

Children under 13 cannot use Sivil without verifiable parental consent. If you received a consent request you did not expect, contact us and we will remove the account.

Managing Your Account

Deleting your account

Open Settings → Delete Account in the app. This permanently removes your account and your personal data. If you are a guardian with dependents, the app will explain what needs to happen first.

Text messages

Sivil sends SMS only for verification codes, password resets, and parental consent — never marketing. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or remove your phone number in Settings. Reply HELP, or email us. See our SMS Terms.

Location

Location sharing is currently turned off across Sivil. The app does not request location permission and does not collect location data.
